When the MC-780MA shows the error "Error 20 Print" on the display of the scale, it usually happens in one of the following situations:

- The MC-780MA is simultaneously connected to a printer and to a laptop/PC via cable

- The MC-780MA is connected to PC/laptop but the printer settings are switched on, or the other way around.

- The MC-780MA is connected to an incompatible printer

Here you can find the solutions:

Multiple connections:

The MC-780MA can only send the measurement output in one direction; either to the printer or to the laptop/PC. Please remove either the printer connection cable or the PC connection cable from the back of the MC-780MA to solve the issue

Settings:

- If you want to connect the MC-780MA to a printer, you can find which settings to change here: Scale settings to print measurement reports with the MC-780MA.

- If you want to connect the MC-780MA to a laptop/PC, you can find which settings to change here: My MC-780MA doesn't communicate with my computer

Incompatible printer:

For printing reports directly from the scale, the MC-780MA's that have a micro-USB printer connection port on them, are only compatible with PictBridge printers with a PictBridge USB port. Here you can find more information about this: About PictBridge printers, to be used with older models MC-780MA.

If your MC-780MA has a normal USB (rectangular) printer connection port on it, reports can be printed directly only with an Epson printer via a non-PictBridge USB port. Here you can find more information about this: Which printer do I need for my MC-780MA?
